Girl with Attitude - Heather McMahon

Hello all. It's Heather McMahon here to share with you a layout I made using my stunning new Dusty Attic chipboards. I've gone for a more modern touch on this one.

Those of you who know my work will be reeling in shock that I used purple - and, what's more, I love it! I painted the string frame with Sugar Plum Dusty in Colour paint then added Royal Purple Beck BT's Tinby Designs Metallic Melts on top. What a stunning colour combination!

For the "Attitude" title, I painted the top half with Navajo White Dusty in Colour paint and the bottom half with the Sugar Plum. I then added the Royal Purple Metallic Melts over both paint colours to get that graduated effect. I love these new words! I think it's funny that most of the words in this particular pack would traditionally be associated with boys but I think they suit my daughter perfectly!

The gorgeous flowers from Dusty Attic serve two purposes here - of course one purpose is that they just look stunning, but the other is that I used them to hide distracting elements in the photo.

The other letters and the stars are all treated with gold ink and Metallic Melts.

I made the background by simply stamping with the sprayed side of a Kaisercraft stencil. Coincidentally, I found the Dusty Attic stars matched some of the stenciled stars perfectly! I sat the chippie stars on the white star shapes and they looked like they were made to fit.

Don't forget that you can now order your Dusty Attic supplies online. There are also gift vouchers available so you might have to drop the odd hint or two.
